Dear Kevin,
I received your book this week(Practice Secrets) All I can say is I can't believe how inefficent my practice sessions have been over the years. I wish I had the book when I started playing...I would be a much better player by now, And it would have taken a lot less time. Now I understand how some players can develop so quickly, while others take so much longer!!(Like myself) I am presently reorganizing my whole approach. I'll keep you updated as to my progress.

Lessons
At Kevin Downing's Guitar School the lessons are tailoured to suit your requirements and learning rate.
All the lessons are on a one to one basis except the performance groups. The speed at which you advance will be determined by your learning rate and the amount of time you can practise.
A maximum of one, half hour per day practise is required for learners to move ahead at a reasonable speed. Intermediate and advanced players should practise more. Learners normally attend a one, half hour lesson each week.
Intermediate and advanced players can sometimes have a longer lesson. Casual lessons are also available. Throughout the year we hold special seminars on different topics with visiting world class authorities like Bruce Forman, world renown jazz guitarist talking on improvisation and Ray Mercer, one of New Zealands top guitar technicians talking on guitar maintainance.
